I worked for Ray at Cooper’s in the late 1960s while I attended college. Ray always treated me not as just a kid pumping gas. I appreciated that he trusted me enough to let’s me be responsible for the station at times. Even today when I drive by “Cooper’s”, I think of my time there. I have many fond memories of working with Ray and Howie Portier. It was a fun environment because of Ray. My dad knew Ray from South Salem and they would spend a lot of time discussing people and things they both had in common. Ray was a good person, may he rest in peace.

Wishing you all the peace and strength that God can provide in this sad time. Mr. St. Pierre was a devoted father and husband. A real grownup that provided for his family. I remember spending time at your house on Shore Ave, eating a meal at the kitchen table watching the family interact, a little shy and nervous. I was a little scared when Mr. St.Pierre walked in the door, as dads were these unknown characters that were always at work and had deep, loud voices. The cares of the day still on their faces. His demeanor seemed to soften as he took in the faces of his family sitting around the table, and a curious glance at the Tache kid that was not Julie. He sat at the head of the table, quizzed his children on the details of their day, poked fun at them and to my shock, at me as well! I sat in awe whenever Mrs. St.Pierre would play the piano and then in disbelief when both parents would sing in harmony. It was apparent just how much they loved each other, how much they complemented each other. All the teenagers would scatter, while Anne and I watched with admiration. At least that is the way I remember it. Not too sure of your exact feelings, Anne. I am so sorry that I was not at the services. I have come down with Covid again. Seems to be escalating at school. Thank you all for your friendship over the years and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. Jen
