Please accept my deepest condolences. I worked with Richie for decades at Schneider Electric and Andover Controls. Of course, he was a solid engineer who contributed to many projects over the years, but more importantly, he was a great friend and colleague to all. Even in stressful times, he kept a level head, a good sense of humor, and always put people first. He was truly taken too soon.

I had the privilege of serving with Rich on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was a decent, generous guy and I'm proud to call him shipmate. He will be missed by all of us who had the honor of knowing him. Fair winds and following seas Rich. We have the watch.

I first worked with Richie at Andover Controls in Brickstone Square in Andover. I was in technical support at the time, and whenever I asked Richie for help with a problem, he was gracious and professional. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. I recall that he was an avid bike rider, sometimes riding during lunchtime. Later with Schneider Electric I was working in software quality assurance and I attended meetings with Richie. I loved seeing him walk into the conference room with Zola carrying her leash in her mouth. Richie was a kind and humorous and the world was a better place with his help. My condolences to his family and friends who will miss him.
