To Chief Burgess (George) and the entire Burgess family I offer my sincerest condolences. Debbie was one awesome lady and protector of her family. I have so many memories that I could write a book of the 54 years knowing you. Vacations, dinners, Christmas, Thanksgivings, New Years parties, Sebago. You were and always will be Mrs. Chief. You too were always there when we needed you. You rest well knowing the class act that you are. I will never forget you and all the times shared with your family.

The neighborhood feels a little more quiet these past few days. Dear George and all family my heartfelt prayers are with you all. Deb was truly a champion of our neighborhood. Always so caring and offering encouragement. truly invested in all things and people around her. I remember moving here as a young woman and very soon Deb and George (admirally together forever) came knocking with open arms and chocolate cake! Keep watch over our neighborhood Deb you are an angel.

The words cannot express how sorry Iam for your loss. Mrs Burgess was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. She was a fierce advocate for who and what she believed in. She was very kind to people she would always talk to you and not at you. She will be missed. Mary Grieve Soper

Dear George and family, Jon, David and family join me to send our sincere condolences. It's hard to believe that it was some 60 years ago that Debbie, still in high school, was teaching Sunday School when I arrived as the youth leader at Chartley Methodist. Her joyful faithfulness and integrity, along with her loving kindness made her special to me and many others, wherever she was. She knows the Lord, and is with our God in a new and wonderful dimension, as Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you", but she is greatly missed.
