Dear Family of Ellie, I am so sad to hear of your loss. I worked Ellie on Sundays at the JFK Library for the past 10 years - my tours were in between hers. She was such a positive, passionate person. I loved listening to her talk about Jackie during her special presentations. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Ellie was a special person. Sincerely, Carla Scuzzarella

Dearest Family, I was saddened to learn of the passing of Eleanor. We went to West Side Central HS together and celebrated our 50th reunion. We visited at that event and I received a lovely note afterwards. Please accept my sincere condolences and treasure the memories.

I was so saddened to hear this news. Ms. Mackinder was my high school history teacher in Norton for several years, I graduated in 2000. She has always had a place in my memory and heart, she was a hard teacher, but such a great teacher and I appreciated her willingness to push us harder than we probably wanted at the time. She will be missed, and I know that her students will always remember her as I do. Nicole Bisanti Meroney

It is with great sadness upon learning of my nsweet childhood friend, learning of her passing is still a shock. Istill see her brother, Joe, as he is a close friend for many years since childhood with my brother Paul. See Joe often as he visits my brother who lives across the street from my home. My heasrtfelt, deepest sympathy to her brother, cousins, children, grandchildren and many friends she shared her life with for which I was blessed to have her since we were just kidsand graduated high school together. I was deeply saddened to hear of Ellie's passing. As a fellow docent at the JF Kennedy Presidential Library, I enjoyed many conversations with her sharing our experiences and enthusiasm for the Kennedy era. I will be working in my garden this afternoon and will gather some flowers to make a lovely bouquet in her honor.

On behalf of the docents and staff at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, we send our deepest condolences. Ellie was a docent for 13 years and a joy to work with. We will miss her sense of humor and wit, her zest for lifelong learning, and her generous spirit. She has left an indelible mark on our volunteer program and will always be remembered fondly.

Joe, Lara Anne and family, Michael and family: I'm so sad about the passing of your dear Ellie. I've known her most of my life. I remember fondly our days in the Slovak Catholic Sokols, our weekly rehearsals for "calisthenic drills," and our bus trips to Slets which were all very memorable. But we especially enjoyed our annual performance at Sans Souci Park. Recently as Ellie's been cleaning out things kept by her mom, she sent me cards my mom and aunt had sent your parents/grandparents on their wedding day and again to congratulate them on Ellie's birth. Just recently she sent me some sing-along songbooks we used on our bus trips. I was also fortunate to have gone to 7th and 8th grade with Ellie and continued to high school all those years at West Side Central Catholic High School. And she's been one of my stalwart prayer warriors as we pray for the many needs of so many people. She was a dear friend and she will be greatly missed by many. She has left a legacy of love behind. My sincere condolences.

Dear Lara and Michael, I am writing this note from Chicago. I was stunned to hear of your mother's sudden death, and will miss her a great deal. She was a friend, travel partner, and breakfast companion, and I am happy to have known her. Please accept my deepest sympathies. It is hard enough to lose a parent, but when it happens so quickly, and at least for me, so unexpectedly, it compounds the grief. You have many reasons to think about her with happy thoughts. She was active, involved and vital right to the end. Hugs to you all.

Ellie was a kind woman who barely knew me, as I started working at NHS after her retirement, but made an effort to take me under her wing. She graciously gave me so many teaching materials, and shared her passion for education with me in the very brief time I knew her. I always enjoyed seeing her while voting. She will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Ellie over the course of several year proctoring the MTEL exam at NHS. Several years later I ran into her at an event at the JFK and she greeted me as an old friend. She was a wonderful person through and through, may her memory be a blessing.

Michael and Lara - I had the pleasure of meeting with your mom many years ago. As an elder law attorney, I sadly have occasion to read many, many obituaries. Most do not give the true flavor of the person. Your mother's is absolutely fabulous, and paints such a vivid picture of who she must have been as a person. She clearly touched many lives, and will live on in many hearts. On behalf of our Firm, I want to extend our sympathies to you and your family.

My most sincere condolences to your family. I had the great privilege of working with Ellie on the same days she volunteered to give tours at the JFK Library. She was a wonderful person, I'm going to miss the conversations that we had. The fact that she volunteered her time to give tours truly is a testament of the kind person she was.

Dear Lara, Mike and Family, I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the loss of your Mom. I have many happy memories of our friendship especially during my years in Norton. Having worked closely together on the Adult Education Program and in the Norton Public Schools we became more than colleagues but good friends. I'll always cherish our "apple pie" lessons and sharing. She will be missed. John

Dear Ellie, It would be an understatement to say that I was "shocked" (heart broken) when our dear friend, Dale told me the "awful news) Now, who am I going to argue politics with? Rest in peace, dear girl. Your friend and admirer, Dennis
