Columbus , OH,
Joey was a great cousin. He is Joseph Bakanauskas Jr, not senior as my uncle his father was Joseph Bakanauskas Sr. I pray for him as I have done for my family members. He had a kind soul. He is now in heaven with his parents, grandparents, and uncle ( my father) and his aunt ( my mother). I love you Joey. Always Your cousin Audrey

Words do not fully describe Joe Bakanauskas-aka 'Big Joe' by his many tennis partners & friends-but allow me to try to describe Joe: gentleman, man of character and principle, intelligent, man of so much knowledge, good and supportive friend on and off the tennis court, one helluva tennis player, great conversationalist, sincere,..., and a special individual and humanitarian who always-I repeat-always brings something positive to each and every situation [again, on and off the court]. I, like so many others who knew and experienced his persona, kindness and humanity, remain so grateful for our respective paths of life intersected.

Lynn, I am so sad & shocked to hear about Joe. We are still in Fl so I will catch up with you when I get back. My email is not functioning so the news came late. Our deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family.
