Barry, Courtney & Anthony, It was so sad to hear about Joan's passing. It was 1980 when I joined WNPBL and met Joan at my first of many WNPBL parties. She was always warm and friendly to me and both my wives. The Queen of WNPBL will never be forgotten. Lori and Stan

Joan, my dear friend for 60 years, I am without words. As kids, you were always there for me, helping me get up when I fell and watching out for me so I wouldn't. That was what our lifelong friendship was about. We never argued, we never fought. We had each other's backs, and sometimes we had to be straight with each other but it was always handled out of love and kindness. You had the biggest heart. A piece of my heart is now gone. I will think of you everyday and smile with a virtual hug for you because you were such a great hugger. You always greeted with a hug for everyone. I still can't believe this is real. Rest in Peace my sweet friend. I will miss you forever. Until we meet again.I love you Joan. Barry, Courtney, Anthony, Maxwell..I am sorry for your tremendous loss. Love, Judy (and John) Ela

So very sad to hear of Joan's Passing. She was a wonderful person and dear friend. We extend our deepest Sympathy for Barry,Courtney, and Anthony, as well as her sisters and all of the Hines family. We have so many wonderful memories with Joan and her family. My Mom and Midge were the best of friends as they lived across the Street from our house. My most memorable times are staying with Barry and Joan on weekends, when I was a teenager, and babysitting Courtney and Anthony while they were away. Joan's nick name for me was always Chab.

My deepest sympathies go out to Joan's family. I can say that Joan was always such a wonderful presence. Her smile, friendship, kindness, sense of humor was a joy to be with always. Some people have an impact on lives that stays with us throughout our days. Joan was such a person. She touched my heart and will be remembered with a smile always. I knew her from Junior high school on to our last high school reunion. She enriched my life as she did for so many others and for that I am grateful. I know she will be with her family in spirit and in their hearts always which may bring peace to all.
