Although I never had Mr. Flannery as teacher @ NAHS, I did have him for homeroom 1 year. My best way to describe that experience is he did "Dad jokes" long before it became popular. Prayers for strength to get you through this time.

Norton , Ma,
I worked many years with Bill at H&R Block. He was always so pleasant with his co workers and clients. Sending prayers to his family.

I spent the last 3 years working at the village at willow crossing and got to know Bill very well. He was quite the talker and we always bonded well during slow moments in the dining room. His character rang through, he talked about his time as a boy scout leader and a teacher, and his love of being with people never faded. During covid lockdowns, he would visit all his neighbors and brighten their days. He would often pass out homemade cookies to the staff, and share a beer with his resident buddies. On his birthday, he brought in 3 cakes to give out to everyone as dessert. He wanted to invite far too many people to Thanksgiving dinner, and his generosity didn't stop there. He figured out that I loved creating new milkshake flavors, and when he decided it was time to drink more protein shakes, he would be overjoyed to test out any combination that I could dream up. I would make up a big batch to give out to several residents, and Bill was always the only one to drink it all in one gulp and always gave me great feedback. It was a pleasure to know Bill, and I am deeply sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing him with us all.
