Dear Members of the Franklin Family, Please accept my condolences upon the death of your husband, father, and brother. Rich and I played football and ran track together at Randolph High. We were in most of the same classes in junior and senior high schools. In my one year at UMass, I lived only a few rooms down the hall from Rich and his neighborhood friend, Jerry Spellman. I lost touch with Rich after I transferred from UMass and moved away from the Boston area, but I will always remember Rich as a fine student, strong competitor, friend, and a good teammate. I am sorry for your loss. I will keep you and Rich in my prayers. Bill Stone
