Growing up as neighbours to the Scott’s was amazing. They were like a second family to us. Jeff and Pat were another set of brothers to me. I will never forget all the fun and games we played as kids. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to the whole family and all of his friends.

I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Jeff's sudden passing. I have such fond memories of growing up next door with Jeff and Pat on Muriel Crescent and Cathy babysitting all of us crazy kids. This is devastating news and hard to process and I can only imagine what you're going through. Please know you're all in our thoughts and prayers. My heart is truly broken for everyone. Sending big hugs and love. xo

My condolences to Jeff’s wife Melyssa, two beautiful daughters, parents, and family in Canada and so many friends and researchers in the medical field, here in the US and Canada, that have known him for so long. I have known Jeff Since 2006 when he came in the private sector of the medical field and have done incredible medical research together. I will miss him and his wife's dancing at our company's Christmas party. He will be missed by all of us at DaVinci. May he rest in peace in the kingdom of God. Joe Villani

I met Jeff when he was a graduate student at UWO when I visited to give a lecture, and we hit it off immediately, not only as fellow scientists, but as two guys with similar views of life. I was overjoyed when he contacted me and asked if he might join my laboratory at Harvard as a postdoctoral fellow. He exuded a love for life and was dedicated to medical research, always trying to find creative solutions to ease human suffering. So, after a couple years, it was not a surprise when he told me he was headed to a biotech company where he could have a direct impact on developing technology that could change people's lives. He visited my home and got to know my wife and kids and while we drifted apart through the years, when he’d contact me out of the blue it was as if we never parted. He was that kind of person, a true friend and colleague, a devoted husband and father, and someone all of us should strive to be like. Jeff will be dearly missed. We now celebrate his life, we pledge to never forget how he touched each of us, and I for one look forward to when we will meet each other again. May you Rest In Peace, my friend. Leo, Sherrie and family.

My sincere condolences to Melyssa, Emma and Laura - and the entire Scott Family. Jeff was a great friend and room-mate through University and someone a deeply admired. Very rare in life to meet someone that has the ability to consistently and effortlessly lift your spirits and make your day. I'll miss your laugh, smile and friendship. Love you bro!
