CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

What a blessing it was to have crossed paths with Tino. He entered our lives as he and Terri were the host family for our son during his summer baseball season in Hyannis. Of course they were absolutely the best hosts on God’s earth, but Tino turned out to be a strong, compassionate, positive mentor for our son when he needed it most. Tino walked the walk, lived what he preached, and used his great intellectual soft spoken wisdom to guide and mentor our son through not only his season there but also through the rest of his baseball career and most importantly through his life as a father and leader of his own family. God blessed our family through Tino and Terri and their amazing family. While we mourn his passing we are confident that as Tino entered Paradise he heard the words “Well done my faithful servant.” We pray that Terri and her family feel the warmth of God’s hand in this difficult time.

Dear Terri, Marcy, Lisa, Gina, Maria, and families, We are saddened and terribly sorry to learn of Tino's death. He was one of a kind! Was there anyone more laid back than he? But always with a twinkle in his eye, and such a wry wit. Jimmy remembers when they played football at M.H.S., teammates would comment on how fast Tino was; he would jokingly, self-deprecatingly retort "It's not that I was fast, I was running scared!" It was always a pleasure to see him, and you Terri. We were so happy to catch up with all of you at Gina's M.H.S Hall of Fame induction. Resquiescat in pace, Tino. With love, Betsy and Jimmy

Terri, I was so saddened to hear about Tino. I still think about all the amazing meals you had ready after our games and will always remember mine and Tino’s talks at 11:59pm when I showed up 1 minute before curfew every night. You guys had more of an impact on my professional baseball career than you will ever know and I am grateful to have memories with you both. My thoughts and prayers are with you. -Christopher Proctor

My sympathy to Tino's family. I remember his many accomplishments both athletic and professional. I still remember my very early years when we lived upstairs from the hardware store. It just doesn't seem that long ago. I'm sorry I will be able to attend his services due to my Parkinson's issues. All the best wishes to his family and many friends. Ed Ferrara

Dear Terri and family, please accept my condolences for your loss of Tino. I have known Tino since we were little kids growing up in Mansfield. A better person, I have never met. Over the years, he brought much joy into my life. I will miss him as I know you, your family, and friends will miss him. Though he may not be with us physically, he will always be with us spiritually. When we all pass from this life, I am sure we will see Tino again in God’s House.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Tino. Though I never physically met Tino I have spoken to him many times on the phone. Tino was a great coach to me and my father when my dad started his kidney failure. I am so happy they reconnected after many years ago at Stonehill. My Dad Eddie Monteiro will miss him, his guidance and long conversations. May He Rest In Peace
