Arthur and family -my heart is crushed for so many reasons. I’m so sorry I didn’t do a better job of staying in touch after moving away from the neighborhood. Arthur has alway been an inspiration to me and I think he’s be proud to know that all those years growing up and smelling and feeling wood shavings in his workshop and marveling at his tools and skills, I’ve also taken up woodworking and scroll-saw work. He was the dad in the neighborhood that had time for all our flat bike tires, and to listen and give advice, and it was honest advice. If you were lucky enough to hear him laugh it was genuine. I loved watching him live his family, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Thank you for being my second dad growing up. You will be missed. Love Carol …across the street.
