Paula will always be considered part of the "A" team at Peace Corps from the 2000s. She was a great work colleague and staunch supporter of her Peace Corps Medical officers in the field. I have always thought fondly of our conversations raising only sons. Her words of wisdom still ring true to my ears as I have now a grown son. My sincerest condolences to Paula's family. Rest in Peace, Paula. Love, Kim Skrtic former PC Medical Officer and Program and Training Officer

Owen, Casey & family, I am so sorry to hear of Paula's passing. She was a great colleague at Peace Corps and I always admired her commitment to the Volunteers. As a former Volunteer she brought a valuable perspective to the medical team. I personally enjoyed all the wonderful garden produce she would bring in, and her homemade pesto was the best I've ever had. It was a treat to be on the receiving side. I'm sure she will be greatly missed and I wish you all peace as you grieve her loss. Karen Roberts

Owen, So saddened and surprised to hear of my cousin, Paula’s, passing. Even though we had lost touch over the years, there were many fond family memories going back to when we were kids. My parents, Julie and Del, were very close to Paula’s parents. Norman and Del were the two youngest of the twelve siblings. I can only hope they are all back together now and enjoying some stuffed quahogs! Sincerely, Denise B. Zuffante

To dear dear Paula, Thank you for the kindness and friendship during my time in MED. I always looked forward to our knitting and lunch sessions. You were our mentor on everything knitting and many things MED. Your sparkling eyes and warm smile and loving heart will be so missed. Much love to you and your dear family as they navigate this world without your physical presence, though your spirit lives on in us all. Jackie

Owen, Casey and Family, I am very sorry to hear about Paula's passing. She was a friend, protector and kind soul that made sure everyone around felt safe and cared for. She was instrumental in my transition to DC from Nicaragua as a student. Paula made sure I had someone to count on and specially she made sure I had a home made meal at Thanksgiving. She is a great soul that will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

To Paula’s family: I’m so sorry for your loss. I find it difficult to believe that my dear friend has passed on so suddenly. I will miss our intellectual discussions about health care, our systems of care, and her insight into life. Whatever Paula tried, she did so with a full commitment and thus became expert in areas including cooking, knitting and completing complicated puzzles. Her love for Owen and Casey was never ending, a love that was extended to Caitlin and the grandchildren. She’ll always be looking out for you. I’ll pray for you during this difficult time. Love , Celia
