You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Losing a love one is never easy but it does give comfort to know they are in a better place and have no more pain. We imagine she is probably looking down on us doing her puzzles with Dad. Praying for you guys. Love, John, Ginny, Toby and Ada Gerber

I ran across your obituary today and it made me feel very emotional. You were my first cousin twice removed and your mother was my great grand-aunt. My second great-grandparents were Rev. James Alexander Porter and Hepsey Bailey. I've been working on my family tree for years and I could never find a trace of you after you graduated from high school. All this time, I felt sad that something might have happened to you. Now that I've read your obituary, I see that you lived a long and full life, married and raised children. I thought it was great that you worked in a library in later years because I'd read in your high school yearbook that you spent a lot of time in the library. Anyway, I'm sorry I never got to speak with you personally. I wish your family well.
