Cynthia and Robby, I want you both to know the impact Bill had on my daughter Juliannes life. Julianne has know Bill most of her life because of the Hockomock YMCA. First he met her as a little girl, as a camper, then counselor in training then counselor. Bill mentored Julianne in ways usually reserved for parents. He cared so much for all the kids but he was so special to Julianne in the ways he enhanced her everyday activities, just by being there for her in her journey of life. I had the pleasure of knowing Bill and seeing the caring, kind compassionate man he was. I will be forever grateful that Bill crossed our paths in this life. Rest well my friend till we meet again ....

My condolences to Bill's family. What a great man! I met Bill in 2004 at Nichols Middle School. I was the assistant baseball coach and Bill helped us out during tryouts even though he was coaching the high school team. His dedication to Middleboro academics and sports was exceptional and he will be missed by the thousands of students and co-workers that had the opportunity to know him. Sincerely, Michael Luppino

Cynthia and Robby I am lost for words trying to explain to you how important Bill was to me. Each camper always looks for that special person to look up to and he was the one that I could look up to. Even as a counselor he helped me along the way and it had made the strongest that I have ever been today. Until we meet again....He will be deeply missed!!

I've known Bill since 2001 as a fellow physical educator, Ass't baseball coach (Freshman'05 thru 07) in the Middleboro Public School district, and as a Program Supervisor of 3 senior practicum students assigned to Bill and I from Bridgewater State University. He was a caring effective elementary physical educator, a splendid varsity baseball coach and a very patient caring guiding field-based practitioner for the 3 student teachers... all of whom are teaching in adjacent school systems. I think he was in one of his best roles "managing" the post game "meetings" at Central Café. Win or lose, we were there! I am at an age where not much saddens or excites me, but, Bill's recent situations into passing have cut through that. I'm profoundly saddened by this. He was as positive, upbeat and patient as anybody could possibly be from my 3-pronged perch. Due to COVID considerations, I will be at the wake and funeral in full spirit, but reluctantly and resignedly, not physically present. As I said, so saddened by Bill's passing. I think he's the starting catcher in tonight's angels game! Thanks for accepting these comments, Paul Doucette

I was so saddened to read of Bills passing. I worked with him when he ran the YMCA summer camp in No Attleboro He was such a great mentor to all the kids Always fair and quick to resolve any problems that occurred He was always so proud of his son and always spoke of him as a proud dad. It’s sad to see such a good handsome and dedicated man taken from this life so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family

Dear Cheryle, Bill, Cindy, Robbie, and the entire Lawrence family....although cousins drift apart and go their separate ways in life, you are not forgotten. Old memories remain cherished, and it is so nice to read all the wonderful things that others have to say about Billy. It is obvious he was a great mentor, coach, son, husband, and father. May all these qualities comfort you in your time of grief. May he rest in peace, until we see him again. Al and Cindy Romano
