Dear Vicky, Your friend just called us about losing your dear Lee. I am heartsick for you and your whole family. Recently I had reread your Christmas letter & smiled over all of your wonderful family pictures. The two of you looked so peaceful & happy together! You described your pleasant daily lives in Astoria, which you reveled in sharing together. I'm so sad for you, Vicky, my dear childhood chum. You will be in my prayers. Tearfully, with love, Jane Ellen

Lee was my uncle, my mother's half-brother. Because of the age difference and distance between our families over the years, I didn't get to spend as much time getting to know him better, or his family. So I cherished the Christmas newsletters with pictures of the family events each year. I do know he was a very kind and caring, intelligent and poetic person. Uncle Lee wrote a beautiful poem in memory of Mom when she passed. Lee fought a long, hard and brave fight against the kidney failure. I will always remember Lee fondly. Condolences to his beautiful and delightful wife Vicky and beautiful children and grandchildren.
