Dearest Pappy, Thank you for being my father figure and confident during my years in Boston. My parents and Daphne were honored you danced the father daughter dance at my wedding in 1992 and all your help 7 years later. Your wisdom though the years has guided so many of us! We re forever thankful for you. My children were blessed to have you as a part of their life foundation. Your people are my people. We are connected by the unconditional love you shared. We’ll see you in heaven when our time comes.

One of the kindest, truly sweet and hopelessly funny people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. God Knows a truly good person by his deeds in life and Papa is with God now. We hope to see you on the other side and you are waiting for us with a good joke to tell us. Peace brother.

Words usually are not enough to tell who someone was. From reading this he was loved and admired by many. My condolences to his family.

Uncle John, thank you for all the wonderful summers spent at the cottage on Plum Island with Yaya Athena, the trips to Greece with you and Yaya Betty, how you loved us so much and could never do enough for us! I have so many memories of fun times. We will miss you so much, I'm so glad the kids got to know you too. We were blessed to have you as part of our family. All our love

John was an icon during our time at The Fairmont Copley Plaza. He took care of guests and his colleagues with a smile and often a great story. He will always have a place in my best memories of the years we worked at that hotel. And after we had left, he kept in touch with many who he worked with, always asking after my dogs and remembering their names for over a decade. He will be missed.
