Dear Kathy and Family, We loved Ray very much. He was such a great friend. You both have been very kind and generous to us and our kids. They fondly remember you and Uncle Ray. And, yes, he had a colorful personality - quite unique we would say. Though he had a somewhat gruff exterior, that couldn’t hide his gentle side for very long. Thank you for great memories and all that you mean to our family. Peter and Debbie

I had a professional relationship with Ray that dated back to the early eighties when he was a buyer at the Sheraton Boston and later the Hyatt. He was such a gentleman and so easy to deal with. I so enjoyed our weekly meetings, where we would conduct business but we’d always talk about his activities at the club he belonged to and other events in his life. I know he had some health challenges, but he dealt with these with his usual positivity and equanimity. We lost touch as our careers winded down, but I have very fond memories of him. He was a lovely man. May his memory be a blessing.

Beans, I'm so sorry to hear about Ray. I'll never forget our New Years Eve parties. One especially great memory is of Ray dancing in front of Shirley and her face. I can't get into details here, but I'm sure you remember! It's been a hard year for the family and I extend all my sympathies and prayers. Love, Trish and Gary
