Befriending John as youngster growing up in Somerville and spending many many hours playing basketball at the Cherry Park outdoor court along with many of our mutual friends, it is very sad to hear of John's passing. I treasure the memories of playing basketball and sitting together with John and the other kids and talking, joking and laughing together for hours. John was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and he was a loyal and true friend to so many. With great sadness I say goodbye and RIP to my long ago friend John.
