CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

4/2/2021 Murray Family
Wakefield, Mass,
We were in the stands watching this 7th grade young man play like he was in college. I was talking to some other parents about how we needed this kid on our AAU team and after that game our Coach pulled Andre aside with his parents and from that day on is when Andre became part of our Wakefield family not just my family but all our families. Andre was was such a special kid and was always around he was like one of our own. Andre has an amazing Family and it reflected on him the way he presented himself, polite, respectful, always smiling and full of love. Andre you will surely be missed but will never be forgotten. We love you. Rest peacefully my friend.

Dianne, Sergio, Daniel & Lilian, My deepest condolences, I wish I knew the right words to say to comfort you during this difficult time, but it doesn’t seem like there are enough words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I found this poem Andre posted, I hope it brings you some comfort. FOOTPRINTS One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me” The LORD replied, “ My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you”

As a family we have known Andre since 3rd grade when he and Millyan became friends. He was extremely polite Family orientated and was always always welcome into our Home and cook come and go as he pleases. It was our privilege and honor to have met and spend time with him.

Andre was my student in AP Literature his senior year. He was a treasure to have in the classroom and at our school. He promoted kindness in others and pursued knowledge with excitement and curiosity. My husband also taught Andre and we attended many of his basketball games. He was a wonderful teammate who exuded a love of the game. My husband and I are so sorry for your loss. We will always remember his generous spirit and kind soul.

I had the opportunity to play with Andre my freshman year on Active Skills All Stars AAU team and you couldn't have asked for a better teammate. He was appreciated by everyone on the team and would always find a way to bring humor and competitive spirit to training sessions and practice. Andre, may you Rest In Peace and continue being the leader you have always been. My condolences to the Braga family! Regards, Sean Willett
