That is a really nice picture of Eric. I met Eric at Potter Place about 3 yrs ago, and we became very close friends. We watched Patriots games, and celebrated the super bowl. We went to the reenactment on the Lexington green. We went to La Salette in Attleboro, MA, and saw the Jack O Lanterns in RI, and had many nice Italian subs at D'Aganastino's. Eric was one of my best friends. He was a good listener, supportive, kind, generous, and happy guy and even when things were tough, he did his best to be happy. He said he wanted to go back to volunteering, pushing patients to Mass like he did years ago. I was very shocked and sad to hear the news. I thought he would get better. I know he was getting treatments, and that he had had COPD, but he had lost weight and seemed to be getting healthier. It breaks my heart to hear of this and I will definitely miss Eric. He really helped me a lot in many ways, and I'm grateful to had known him and had him for a friend when I really needed a good friend. In the last two conversations we had on the phone, he was comforting me about something and in the last conversation, he told me he was tired and wanted to catch up on some sleep. I know that Eric is now in a better place where there is JOY peace and Love. Much Love!!!! Rose Amrhein.
