Ralph Serra was one of the kindest, most generous and humble person I have ever known. I loved watching him and Pearl dance and was thrilled when they took the floor at my wedding. He certainly lived a good, long life, but it is still devastating to say goodbye to an absolute lion, a hero and a model family man. My heart goes out to his family at this extremely painful time. I am comforted to think that my Dad, Ralph's friend since age 8, welcomed him to the Kingdom of Heaven. Rest in peace, Ralph. We love you!

Ralph was a kind, happy and brave man. As a teen I was lucky enough to get to know him, his Wife Pearl and family. His home was always a warm and welcoming place. He will be deeply missed. All my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Hello Cousins, I'm thinking about all of you today and with you in love and spirit. Your dad was such a kind and gentle soul and was loved by all. What an amazing way to live and move through the world! I have fond memories dancing with him, he was always encouraging and I can hear his voice like it was yesterday. Family holidays at your parents house are some of my favorite childhood memories. So much energy and laughter. Your mama with the sing alongs, hanging out downstairs with Greg, David, Ed and Laura. So inspired by Chris's art. It's always been admirable to watch how you all hold onto tradition and stayed close in the ways that you do. Thats a testament to what your parents created and I hope that you share in gratitude and love as you go through this celebration of your dads life well lived. PS, I had no idea that he built that house! Thats amazing! Much love to all of you Gina

Dear Family of Mr Serra, .I just received notice of your dad's passing from the 93 post, 29th Division Assoc. It sounds like my father (Donato DiNocco) and your father had a lot in common. My parents grew up in East Boston and settled in Melrose. They belonged to a pray group at St Francis Church in Medford. He was in the D Day invasion in Normandy. He died in 2013 at the age of 90. I was wondering if they might have known each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. , .
