I was ill for most of my first time in the third grade and had to repeat it. We moved to Ten Hills and I was embarrassed that I had to repeat the 3rd grade. I was astonished as ten year old to find Miss Dini as my teacher. She brought me out of my shell, thought me math and english and gave me self confidence. I have gone on to have a very successful life. All because of her. I later learned that we are distant cousins. My dad was John Dini and mom was Rose. God bless Leda.

Dear Keith and family, Thank you so much for all the attention and care that you gave to my godmother “Aunt Lee”. She lived a long and beautiful life teaching others and caring for her family. She was a wonderful godmother. Through the years she always kept in touch especially at the holidays. She and my mother were best friends in college at Emmanuel. I heard many stories of their youth. She is at peace now with her family and friends in a better place. Once again thank you for everything that you did for her. Fondly, Diane

Dear Leda Dini's Family, I was extremely saddened to learn today that Leda had passed. My family and I knew Leda, her mother and father since I was a child. We lived on the same street and got to know her and her wonderful parents, and other members of her family, through the years. After I got married and had children, I always looked forward to her phone call after she received our children's Christmas pictures. I would also hear from her if the pictures arrived a bit late, wondering if they may have gotten lost in the mail. My children and I also enjoyed our chats with her, and when she waved as she drove by our house. I am also a teacher and especially at the beginning of my teaching career, I went to her for advice, and appreciated hearing about her teaching experience, knowledge of education and especially, the kind and caring manner with which she approached the children she taught. Our love of teaching and education was only one of the many things we had in common. We also talked about food and how she also liked the rice pies I made. She will be missed as a friend and neighbor. She will also be greatly missed in our world, for she impacted my life, and certainly many others in more ways than I can explain. My children and I are very sorry that we didn't know of her passing and wanted to let her family know how much we cared about her. Love to all of you...Jo, Jeneen and John Mucci
