Dear David, You were a great friend. I loved spending time with you, going to shows with you, being in shows with you, going to the Tony’s with you. We had tons of laughs In everything no we did. You will be missed, you will be remembered. You were a wonderful man. May your spirit fly high above as you join the angels. Love you and miss you, Karlene

I was sorry to hear about David's passing. I was priviledged to be his doctor for a number of years. He was a delightful man. We probably spent as much time talking about his theater adventures, including being an understudy on Broadway for The Music Man. He was a gentleman and I'm sure will be missed by friends and family.

David and I had much fun together at Boston Prime Timers for many, many years. He took the lead in creating award winning floats each year for the Pride parade and was also the “star” in one extravagant outfit after another. We stood together as Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine at the very top of the float with a wig so high he had to bend down when we passed under trees. He served a term as President of National PrimeTimers . David helped promote dress up and costume fun in the Senior community encouraging an annual trip to Provincetown which still happens. His dress up closet was always open to all.

From the moment we met, there was an instant connection, on that wonderful morning at King Richard's Faire in 2019. Meeting so many new people as the new King Richard XI was nerve-wracking enough. I had heard of David, heard of his amazingly wonderful presence and talent as Calpurnia Crumpet, the mother to King Richard X. We hugged and it was as if we had just known each other. You welcomed me and made me feel at ease like SO many others at KRF. David visited Maine back in 2019, travelling all the way from Worcester to see me in my one-man show, Dinner with Dickens, and then, of course, covid hit. We had David up for a few days in the early summer and saw Miss Conception and other Drag performers David loved. It was an amazing visit and a beautiful time to connect and just chat. We learned so much about him. It wasn't enough time, but we are blessed we had that time with him. Rest well dear friend. You have touched so many people's lives and your sass and diva-presence has left an indelible mark on the arts community. We are trying to get up there for your wake my friend, but work may prevent this. In case we cannot, please know you are loved and will always be thought of. We love you, we will miss you, but we know you will always be in Carvershire! May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. XO
