Dear McDougall Family and friends. I/we are saddened to hear that Alan has passed away! For me, I looked up and admired Scotty. He was the “older” crew at MHS. I graduated with Lorne 1980 and I got to know Alan as I coached him at Medford in football in 1984 and 1985. Alan was a tough kid and easy to teach. Seems like it was yesterday that I was talking with him from his Verizon truck. Alan will be sorely missed... RIP- Alan “Onward Mighty Mustang”

Gone much too soon, my friend. I will always remember our childhood days in the Metcalf/Thomas St. neighborhood, our shared birthday month and your infectious laugh. To the McDougall Family - I am so sorry for your loss. Al was such a kind man. He will be missed.

Phil, Cathy and Lonnie Sincere condolences from the Mullis' who loved Alan like family. Then came the Bonner's who loved him equally as much! If you can think of how gloriously happy he is now with your Dad, Mom and Scotty, hopefully, it will soften the pain. Love from the Mullis/Bonner families

To Alan's family. When I first met Alan I was a sophomore puke at captain practice. Ill never forget the work ethic that season that went into the championship we accomplished for Medford that year. Alan always looked out for me and on several occasions protected me and saved my ass even though I didn't deserve it. I loved Alan and I'm very sorry he is gone. All my best. Dane...Go Mustangs!!!

I first met Al as a junior when he was a senior co- captain of lacrosse team. I was getting booted from team for bad grades and he was doing all he could to help and keep me on the team. When I asked why he was helping me, he simply stated "I can tell you love the game, and any friend of Bran's is a friend of mine" Class act. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Al
