Aunt Carol was a class act. She had a refined style in the way she dressed, in her handwriting and in how she decorated presents. She used her gift on the decorating committee at St. Francis of Assisi helping to make the church look beautiful. I looked forward to seeing her sitting in the left-side last pew at St. Francis of Assisi and joining her at the early Mass. She had a group of pew “neighbors” that she was friendly with and was always concerned if she didn’t see someone, asking after them. She talked about Carla, Gina, Andrew, Tony, Ben, Heather, Arianna and Alyssa with love and such joy in their accomplishments. She felt your love for her and it brought her great joy.

Carla & Gina, so sorry for your loss. As a life-long friend of Carla's, Carol always made me feel welcome in their home. I loved being at their house when she made her homemade pizza. She was a great cook! I believe traveling with them to Vermont as a child has turned me into a life-long Vermont lover. Thank you for all the great memories growing up.

Dear Gina and the Sbuttoni family, I was so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She has been a dear patient of mine for many years and I will sorely miss our annual visits. She loved "my old house" that was originally my grandparents and dates back to the 1680's. She often brought me information on my grandfather and father from the good old Malden days. I will miss her sense of humor, sparkling eyes and wonderful smile. May she find eternal rest with Our Father and may you all find peace within your memories. Sincerely, Ellen M Guthrie, MD
