Jan, During their lifetimes most folks meet and become good friends with others. Some are fortunate enough to meet and become dear friends with others. The most blessed, though, are those who meet and become special friends. Mary and I have felt this way about you and Jerry since that day of many years ago when our paths first crossed. Somebody once said that to lose a friend is a very difficult thing, and I know that to be true, but to lose a spouse of many years has to be a devastating experience. Please accept our sincerest condolences and know that you, Gianna, and Ali are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ever since I met Jerry some 40 years ago I never witness him ever getting mad. His temperament was very mellow. He was so funny, had the greatest sense of humor and he always made me laugh.I could just look t him and crack up. We always had fun in his company especially when we were listening to his music or playing cards. He was a gentle teddy bear. He loved his wife Jan, my cousin and his children. He was crazy about his Grandchildren. He loved when the family got together. He will be greatly missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear that my dear childhood friend had passed. I have such fond memories of Jerry growing up in the North End. From living in the same building on Prince St, to all the years hanging out on the corner (’Sheaf St). He was always a very special person. I will cherish the memories. “Richie” Bordonaro

Dear Jan, Gianna, Ali and family, We were so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing and our hearts are with you. I met Jerry when we were teenagers in the North End and we shared a love of cars and music. He had the best sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed a joke or a funny story. Jerry adored all of you and his love of family was evident in his actions. He will be much missed. Love, Tony & Meg
