To Claire’s Family: I worked with Claire at DCR for many years. Through difficult budgets and situations, I remember Claire being the most steadfast and optimistic. I also remember her as relentlessly kind with both a beautiful smile and laugh. When I would recount stories of my day to my kids at the nightly dinner table, I often mentioned Claire being nice to me. We are all better for having known Claire. May time offer you the strength to herald her gifts to you and yours.

Claire was a wonderful person, full of life and she shared her joy so easily. I remember meeting her for the first time many years ago during a Christmas party. Claire was so welcoming and encouraging. I felt I had met a wonderful person which proved to be the case over 20+ years. I will miss seeing Claire in the halls, and I send her family my heartfelt condolences for their loss.

Dear John and Paul, I just don't know how to express my sadness to you. I remember using her as my real life " baby doll". The other kid would have dolls in their carriages but I had her. I just had to promise to bring her back in one piece! i would wheel her up and down sargent ave in Somerville. She grew up to be one of the best people I have ever known. Her generosity was overwhelming, her humor and laugh, infectious. The world is a better place because she was in it. I want to believe she is, again, having a blast with all those who have gone before her. She is riding that trolley along long sands, waving and laughing! I will miss her her terribly...Bernie

I was so sad to hear of Claire’s passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her at DCR when I worked at the Boston office for a short duration. Claire came and found me when she heard I was there. She was such a sweet and giving person and so proud of her Medford roots. Everyone who knew her realized immediately what a wonderful person she was. My deepest condolences SheilaMcGlynn

I would say that Claire has been the most beloved of employees in the 15 or so years I've come to know her at work. She had the greatest sense of humor and fun (LOVED talking about Nuns anytime!) in addition to having the respect of her colleagues for her job performance. There is a "hole" left behind by her absence and she will always be missed. RIP Claire - we'll miss you!

Our sincerest condolences to Claire’s family. I will never forget her kindness, she was a wonderful person. My children and I were very fond of Claire and she was such a giving person. She touched more lives than I think she knew with her dedication to the youth at Saint Joseph’s Church. She will be greatly missed. Warmest Regards, Maureen, AnnMarie, Dorothy, Olivia & Elizabeth Sawyer
