Dear Aunt Nadia, Lana, Christo, Naya, and Milo, I am sending my love to you all. So sorry to hear about Uncle Khalil, or Uncle Kal as we would refer to him in the old days. Still have great memories from when you guys came for your framing class and had some good laughs. I see where Lana got it from. I know that the Alzheimers must have been so hard for you all. I can't even imagine how hard. Sending you my thoughts and prayers. I will be in Pittsburgh this weekend, I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the services. Sending you my condolences. Dear Barakat family, We are so saddened to hear the news of Khalil's passing. We have so many fond memories of our families growing up together. As I was reminiscing, what comes to mind is Khalil's wonderful laugh. I remember many parties at your house in Dhahran, everyone enjoying the gathering, food, games, and discussions, and I still see him laughing as he recounted a story or shared a memorable moment with someone.
