When we first met Kate over 50 years ago and heard her talk about finding the “loo” and wanting an ice cream with “johnnies” on it, we knew our new roommate was something special and that we were in for a lot of laughs. And that Tullamore lass never disappointed in that regard. While changes in life and location took us from everyday contact to occasional check-ins and annual catch-ups at Christmas, she was always a cherished part of our lives. And although we’re sad that we couldn’t be there at the end, we’re so glad to have had her as our lifelong friend. Our condolences to Nick, Ross, and Kate’s sisters.
