I send my deepest condolences to the Connolly family and all those who loved Aidan. I was lucky enough to meet him at the State House when he joined my State Senate office as an intern. He was a calm, collected presence, and a true joy to be around. He was as solid as they come -- we loved getting to know him. My heart breaks for you all, and for all of us, because I know Aidan would've continued to make the world a better place. I am so very sorry.

Dear Nancy, Bob, Marjorie, Nora, Leah and all the family, Aidan’s life is a beacon of hope and action to treasure forever. How appropriate to set up the scholarship fund for Environmental Studies in his worthy name. I look forward to donating to it and continuing Aidan’s legacy of care. It was an honor and a pleasure to teach Aidan, to know him and to bump into him and chat it up about his inspiring triathlon training, my husband Joel’s Tesla (no, I am driving a Prius!) and our hilarious shared memories of the all-boys’ 7th grade English class featuring Aidan, Tommy Kim, Luke Solem, Eric Dumas and many more boisterous young adolescents under my attempted tutelage! Aidan’s spirit, his passion, his commitment to a cleaner and safer planet, all of that will remain with us and will remind me to live consciously, carefully and optimistically. Aidan Patrick Connolly was a man who made us all better. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so deeply sorry for your pain and for the loss of beloved, brilliant Aidan. Yours fondly, Susan Balogh

Words cannot express the sadness and sense of loss anyone who played with or coached Aidan during his BHS baseball days. He was one of a kind. Always smiling, coachable and a great teammate. No matter how much I tried to push him to get better, he always flashed that smile as if to say, take it easy coach- this isn't the end of the world. He had it right and losing a fine young man like him at the peak of hie life, puts things in perspective. My wife, Alanne, had taught Aidan in 5th grade and told me, you won't coach a better kid- she, as always, was right. Sorry for your wonderful parents and family to go through this- but the years together will bring them many good memories and thoughts. Saying a prayer for all of you. Coach Campagna

Bob, Nancy, Marjorie and Nora, I was so sad to hear of Aidan's passing. I remember him as a sweet, happy child with a zest for life. From your words, I see that this spirit came through as he matured to become a wonderful man. My heart is with you as you bear this loss. I hope, with time, you find comfort in your memory of Aidan's life.

Love you brother, the void you leave us with will never be filled. Never again will the nights just kicking it with the boys or gearing up to play some basketball be the same without you. Missing you today and always. !!
