Growing up a few doors down from the Barden family. There was one thing you could count on from Phil, a huge smile and happy hello. He was just the nicest person! I am so deeply sorry to hear of his passing. My hope is that you may find comfort in all your memories that you had with him. I will never forget how he was always so kind to me and my family. Moe,Philip,Mr. Barden and family. Phil will always be remembered to me as that awesome guy that took Terri and I to Hanscom Air force base when we were kids to see that cool airshow. 2 annoying little girls and he didn't even have to. He was just so kind and sweet and always smiling. He was a great guy with a great heart loved by many and he will be missed but never forgotten. My heart breaks for you and all that knew him. My condolences to the Barden family. Phil was a great guy and will be greatly missed by those whom he served in the community. A true gentleman and class guy. As a Boston firefighter we shared many mutual calls with the BPD and it was a pleasure to work with. May he rest easy in peace. God Bless
