I worked with and for Finlay for many years at Reebok . I can't tell you how special he was to all of us. He was a friend and a mentor, his wisdom and his sense of humor will be truly missed. My deepest sympathies to the entire family Maria Drinkwater

I was very saddened to hear of Finlay’s passing. He had a warm and friendly personality - he and I actually had a good time doing his taxes last year! My thoughts are with your family during this very difficult time.

Wilma, Brendan, Emma, your pain and sorrow must be unimaginable, but I am sure you will be taking strength from each other and the legacy that Fin has left. Having worked and travelled with Fin for over a decade during our Levis’ years, I have some great memories of early morning conversations whilst travelling through to Whitburn. Fin’s positive and bright attitude a constant. I have more recently wondered if he sold some of these conversations to the script writers of Peter Kay’s car share series. I would not have changed any of those journeys with someone who was simply amazing. The clock of life is wound but once And no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop: at late or early hour Now is the only time you own Live. Love, Toil with a will; place no faith in tomorrow for the clock may then be still

Dear Wilma, Emma and Brendan, I am very sorry for your loss. I will always remember Finlay as a guy full of energy, happy, and with great love to you all; most especially Emma. He was such an awesome guy that he had found the best in life, even if he had just landed in Boston; lovely home, pub nearby, friends to watch his sports matches with and of course a beautiful family to share all his great love and energy with. My prayers are with you. I send you, especially Emma, a huge hug. Love, Julia

Charlotte, NC,
Rest in peace sweet Fin. To the man that taught me to believe in myself, be encouraged when times were tough and to always have an open door at work. You took me in as your family when I was so far from mine. You were an incredible human, and this world was better for your presence. I am praying for the family Wilma, Brendan, Emma, Enzo. I know you are no longer suffering and that brings me peace. You will always be cherished in my heart and I will hold on tight to our memories.
