Dear Merner Family, Please accept my deepest condolences in your loss of your dear mother Mary. What fond memories I have back in Cummings Ave. days when I, Jean Moynihan, Blanche Morton, Mary Merner and her sister Anne would get a girls day out. There was no telling where we would end up, but Hugo's in Cohasset and the Coonamesset Inn in Falmouth were favorites. How could I ever know then that our Jeanne would marry Robert and complete the connection. Then my Maureen knew Neil, and so it goes. I am sorry for your loss and Mary and all of you are in my prayers. God bless, Aunt Mil

Our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. When Mary and my mother were both at the Altenheim I would always say hello and tell her I am a friend and neighbor of Robert. She always beamed with pride and asked about knowing all her children. Such a lovely woman, may she Rest In Peace. Greg and Kathy Haugh

My Dear Aunt Mary was such a love. She always made me feel so very special. With her bright beautiful blue eyes and beautiful face I thought she looked like a movie star when I was growing up. I loved her kindness and happiness and mostly her funny funny ways of being, you just never knew what she was going to say. I loved hearing her say "MY Sonny or My Mark or My Robert etc etc, everyone was hers, lol, so very sweet. I will miss her and certainly have already missed her over the last few years while she suffered with Alzheimer's. My prayers to all of you, Maureen, Neil, Mark, Robert and Michael. May she rest in peace. Love Corinne. Love Corine

Dear Mary and her beautiful family. I was married into the Kavanaugh family but my husband Michael was always close to his merner cousins. When my children were small Mary and sonny came to all the kids birthday party’s in my dorchester home. When I was pregnant with my third child I was hospitalized for a month Mary and sonny came to visit me every day and would bring me candy and sit with me and Mary would pray for my baby and Mary would yell at sonny for trying to smoke in my hospital room. My children have sweet memories of Mary playing with them and making them noodles that made there day. On the way home in the car they would say Mary made us noodles we love Mary. I know my husband was very sad when Mary got Alzheimer’s and his mother Kay passed because they were the link to the family. With out them it’s never been the same. Mary will be missed by all.but now she will be with her sonny. Mary Kavanaugh

Mary was my mentor at NEBH she took me under her wing she was like a second mother to me She often took care of my daughter Melissa when I had to work and I didn't have a babysitter. She would be late for work and she only lived across the way I once asked her why she was late when she lived across the street she said I get up early to clean my house and get the kids off to school and work a full time job.She was amazing and I am so glad our paths crossed. Love Michele Daniels
