With a heavy and sad heart, i would like to extend condolences to your family for the loss of your loved one, Sweet Jay. I loved him, too; and his laugh and his sense of humor, his generosity ~ and his palpable love for his family. I will miss the energy and the joy of living he so often exuded. He will live on in my memories and my heart.

I knew Jay through Scouting and the several Boston councils. His contributions were many and very significant. He was always willing to speak on what he thought was right. We will miss him.

My deepest sympathy to Norma, Jay's children, grandchildren, his siblings, nieces & nephews. May God comfort all of you in the days ahead. I was fortunate to meet Jay when he was a BC senior, and I was a junior at Stonehill. Not surprisingly, he & friend Jerry Sullivan took me on my first camping trip. The three of us in a small tent. I'm sure Jay thought that was a date. He was such a good person. May Jay rest in eternal peace.

To Jay's Family Jay was a special friend to us. Full of optimism, man of great Integrity and unwavering in his belief and pursuit that American GI's were left behind in Laos and Cambodia long after Vietnam War was over. We will miss him.

Jay was always a pleasure to talk to. I knew Jay from our days at Catholic Memorial, and I was lucky enough to serve with Jay on the 50th reunion committee for the class of 1965, which allowed us to get reacquainted. I admired Jay’s dedication to the missing veterans and to the many other causes he supported. RIP Jay. John Hagan

To: Jay's Family, I reconnected with Jay as we were both on the '65 CM Reunion Committee. Jay and I had much in common, St Theresa Grammar School, Boy Scouts, CM, Jesuit college education, post college entry to the military as junior officer. Jay-Army, Me-Navy. We went from one laugh to another in talking about the past. Jay had not changed as he was the same funny, thoughtful, considerate, smart person I knew growing up (not that I expected anything different). I am very glad I had the chance to reconnect with Jay. Jay, rest in peace.
