We were so sorry to hear that our friend “Barney” passed away! We didn’t know him for very long, but enjoyed our conversations we shared as we passed by Bobby and Trisha’s house in Maine! His knowledge and love for New England sports team usually sparked a great conversation! My Mom and Dad especially loved to stop to share a glass of wine or a beer! We’ll remember the twinkle he had in his eyes when he wished us “a good morning, enjoy the the beach, don’t get too much sun” We feel truly blessed that our paths crossed and we were able to say he was our friend! Thank you Barney for your service to our great country and for your warm friendship we shared in the short times that we were able to see you! May you now Rest In Peace !

Barney worked with my Dad, Lester Mallett for 40 years at Boston Gas. I got to know Barney very well and he a gentleman and a great person to look up to. He always had a smile and a good word every day I walked through the meter shop to deliver the papers. He will be missed. Steve Mallett
