Missing you, but glad you are now out of pain. Thankful for some good pictures and fond memories.

I knew Doug in Somerville HS and he always struck me as kind, but nerdy (the shirts). He helped me get familiar with chess in Chess Club, which I had joined to meet smart boys. We sat next to each other in Study Hall and I tried to interest him the Beatles. Didn't work that I could tell. I am so sorry he and his family experienced the tragedy of ALS. He was a good guy.

Doug and I were best friends and colleagues for many years in the 70’s. He was kind, funny, patient: everything a human and friend could and should be. Of course he was beyond smart but there was so much more to Doug. The world is less with him not in it. Doug, I have missed you for many years and now only more so. Wherever you are I wish you happiness. David
