Pat and all Marie's family i remember marie, carol kane, lily mccourt, helen sullivan and my sister joan, enjoying scituate summers. we all loved the beach and those carefree days. always impressed with marie's altruism and service in the peace corps, i was also so happy to see her loyalty to friends in being surrogate aunt to the kanes. good woman, dedicated teacher, person of integrity. you were wonderful to her and gave her life with dignity at the end.

Marie was a great neighbor. Fun to converse with and extremely generous to our children; like her sister Pat. For our family, summer could not truly begin without the sister’s return to their Scituate home. She will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace and God bless.

Dear Paul. Pat, family of Marie, I am sorry for the loss of your sister, Marie. I fondly remember our "gang" in Scituate; my cousin, Jane Hanron, Helen Sullivan, Carole Manion, Lillian McCourt, Nancy Hennessey and of course Marie. Wonderful memories of sunny days at the rocky beach at the end of Kenneth Road and rainy days ay the Satuit Playhouse. Marie was a ton of fun, full of energy, and as a former kindergarten teacher myself here in Vermont, I bet she was terrific and well loved by students. I have been waiting on Julia for the last 8 years at the common market. She was always one of my favorite customers, a pure joy to wait on. Never held back, told it like it was, and I always appreciated that. Julia thought I was crazy for my love of cats but often brought me in cat related presents because she said she couldn’t leave a store without getting them for me.
