I am one of four adopted nieces to Bishop allue. AKA Uncle Emilio. He was our monthly lunch date, his favorite restaurant was bernards. In. Fact we had planned on lunch yesterday. Uncle Emilio, have lunch at the pearly gates with our Blesses Virgin Mary. The next time your nieces go to lunch, we will set a place for you and you can visit as our guardian angel. I love you Uncle. Please visit occasionally and hold my Mom in your hands.

St. Theresa parish was blessed to have had such a wonderful Bishop who proclaimed the protection of the unborn as the only Catholic position of the church. He shared his profound knowledge of the Bible in his homily lessons.

Many of my years with St.Theresa Religious ED Program coincided with Bishop Allue's residency at 10 St. Theresa Ave. During this time Legions of young men and women Bishop Allue Confirmed in the Faith had the added Grace of having the sacrament administered by a Bishop who followed their preparation with a caring, devoted interest. He had me change a common question in a letter candidates write to Bishops from asking what they "Had Done" to prepare for Confirmation to asking going forward what they "Will Do" to remain active in the Church. He always spoke with such a Joyful, Optimistic Enthusiasm about each years group -the Hope of the Church. He Loved their letters and he Loved the kids...a sentiment we shared! Bishop Allue was humble, kind and compassionate. He laughed easily and also was pretty funny himself! I always felt that he valued and appreciated my work and efforts with the kids in the Religious Ed Program. He made me feel good about me. I think he had that same effect on most everyone. That was Bishop Allue's Gift..a Seal of the Spirit, a Seal of God's Approval, a Blessing of a Friend.
