It's always a sad day when learn of the passing of a close friend. I've known Tom for many years and know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him especially his wife Pat his daughters Patty and Marybeth and his grandchildren. Tom did many good things for many people and deserves all the recognition and appreciation for all those he helped throughout the years. I consider myself both privileged and blest to have known Tom and will remember him always.

West Roxbury, MA,
I met Tom in August in the early eighties watching BC football practices. We became good friends and gradually were part of an informal group of BC football fans who sometimes watched portions of practices and for many years had breakfast on Saturday mornings in a BC dining hall. Our discussions on those Saturday mornings sometimes involved politics and the current mores of society, but more often focused on our hopes for more football wins in the following season. Some of those in that informal group are now gone, but to a man each and every one of them enjoyed Tom's company and respected his opinion. He was a man with not just good common sense but great common sense. Everyone who ever met Tom benefited from his friendship and caring demeanor. That includes me. My condolences to Pat, his daughters, grandchildren and each and every member of his family. Tom, you did a good job.
