Lena was special to me the moment I met her. There was not a day she did not make me laugh. She could be having a rough day but you would never ever see her smiling and cracking jokes. Words cannot express my sorrow for Lenas passing. I was lucky to have her as a big part of my life when she worked for me years ago. I’m so grateful the friendship we had in and out of work. I too worked with Lena at THP. She was an amazing selfless person. Lena always made time to assist, train and provide insight when I reached a wall…if not that minute, sometime in the near future. Lena and I worked together for almost 7 years. I saw her health going down for last couple years, but she was very committed at work and helping everyone answering any questions and running meetings. She was very caring and loveable person. Even though we all knew about her health situation and we all are certain that everyone must go one day, but still her death came as big shock. To Lena's family and friends, Since Lena's passing, I have struggled for the right words to express my sadness. My heartfelt condolences, to Lena's family and friends, on the loss of a wonderful and gracious young woman. Lena was a neighborhood friend of mine and a familiar face when she was walking her little dog(or the dog was walking her!). She would often join our spontaneous "neighborhood gatherings" and add a spice and flavor to the encounter all her own. Laughter would abound! She babysat for my daughter, Kristen, when she was a toddler, many years ago.This was at a time that I was new to the area. Lena was always laughing,smiling, and being helpful. Knowing Lena was such a pleasure. I was lucky enough to work with her on and off over the last few years and was always so impressed with her positive attitude to life and work. She made the office a better place to work and showed us all how to live our life. I will miss her, especially when arriving in the office and not seeing her smile to welcome me, which she always did, no matter how early I arrived.
