Men like Jim are one in a million these days. Jim’s love for family and politics were quite clear to all of us. May you Rest In Peace.

Many years ago, through a mutual friend, Tom Sheehan, I met Jim Hennigan. He proved to be one of the most interesting people I have come to know. His knowledge of politics was extensive as was his participation. But what set him apart from others was that he was actually entertained by politics. And he passed on this sense of political entertainment to everyone around him. Would that there were more who shared his positive outlook. Jimmy was a good man and he will be missed. Senator Louis Bertonazzi

Dear Maura, Jim and Family: The end of an era! A great man who loved his family, friends and those he could help and he helped many over the years. I am travelling for work and cannot make the wake or funeral. I want you to know that your dear Dad is in my thoughts and prayers.

The Hennigan School community would like to send our deepest condolences to the Honorable Senator James W. Hennigan Jr.’s family. It was always a pleasure having Mr. Hennigan participate in our annual “Read-Aloud” event. The children looked forward to his visit and were excited to listen to him read a book and chat with them. Mr. Hennigan was always supportive of our needs and he will truly be missed. He will be remembered for the kindness, warmth, and joyfulness that he shared with the staff and children.
