May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Dear Jerry and Family .... Jerry, we came to know you through the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury. When Margaret and the boys would play, we always looked forward to having you come up and sing. You were an inspiration to us all. A kind man, a good man. You've left all of us with many sweet memories. Thank you ... Erik and Carolyn.

Without question, Jerry was our most avid listener and Number One Fan. Over decades NOBODY called in to make more requests for songs to be played on our air. But you know what? They were always, always in thoughtful dedication to someone else. When a heart that big suddenly stops, a commensurate void becomes quickly apparent. We certainly feel it. Blessings to Mary and to the entire Kirby family, along with the warmest prayers of the entire Irish Hit Parade crew, sponsors and listenership who all mourn with you.

To Jerry’s Extended Family My mom saw the notice about Jerry and told me the sad news. I have not seen Jerry for many years, but I knew him well from school. Jerry, Peter Shea and I were good buddies and had fun everyday. I talk about my old friends often so even if I hadn’t seen Jerry he was still in my thoughts. He was a very nice guy. I’m so sorry for your loss.

To Marianne, Mrs. Kirby, and Jerry’s family and friends, My sympathies go out to you and your family at this time. This is a tremendous loss and he will be missed deeply! Marianne, you were the best sister/advocate for Jerry and you did an amazing job being there for him while balancing everything else going on. You are such a great person too and fun to talk to. I love how supportive you are and how much you care for everyone you meet! Jerry knew how great you were and loved you sooo much! He always told me how much you meant to him when we’d be going somewhere or just around the house! Jerry, I was so lucky to have known you over the past few years and you made me really enjoy my job! We had so many great memories from wrestling, Irish Dances, car rides, and just doing daily things with you since I worked for LW. I was so lucky to have shared them with you and you changed my life forever! This line of work does that to you once you find your niche. :) I will miss you everyday Jerry. You made such an impact on my life and I will treasure our time together, always. Love and Blessings, Léo :)
