Dear Nancy & Family, Devastated to hear the news of Bill's passing. He was a great colleague, mentor and most of all friend. I cherish the times that we spent together and will remember him fondly the rest of my days. Bill's picture should be in the dictionary next to the term Family Man. He spoke of all of you with such pride for so many years. Rest in peace my friend. Brad

To the entire Lynch family - Michelle and I were deeply saddened to hear about Bill's passing. He will be missed by us and the staff at Chiara. We are deeply grateful for all the support he has shown us over the years and will always think of him enjoying his oysters and a cocktail with Jack H at the bar! We always loved to see him walk through the front door with that infamous smile and to spend time chatting with him about our families (our favorite subject was our children and grandchildren). He certainly has left some wonderful family values for all of you to pass on for generations. We feel very fortunate that he touched our lives. Peace to all of you at this time. Steve & Michelle LaCount (Chiara Westwood)

Dear Mrs. Lynch, George, Martha and Matthew, My fondest memory of Mr. Lynch was the way he greeted all of us (Martha’s friends) when we came to see Martha. Our cars were barely in the driveway and Mr. Lynch would throw open the door and welcome us inside. He always had a few questions for us and then sent us up the stairs to Martha’s room. I picture him beaming. In my youth, I thought he was excited for us that we were going to a NKOTB concert or to a party. Now I realize that he was happy simply because we were happy. Delighting in other people’s happiness is certainly one of the best legacies a person could leave. I am sending all of you so much love and strength. Mr. Lynch will forever bring a smile to my face. All my love, Windsor

To the Lynch Family: I knew Bill for many years at the University Club and served on the Board of Governors with him. He was always a breath of fresh air with that dry Irish humor. God bless him. Larry

Oh, so saddened to learn of the passing of my dear and best friend, William Henry Lynch. We shared so many of our varied life's experiences with each other, both good and trying ones, over the past 51 years. I will miss, yet treasure, his presence in my life.

Dear Nancy and Family, Oh, so saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. What a loss for you. Try taking comfort in knowing how much he cared for and was so proud of you all. I will keep with me the 50+ years of our friendship and the memories of sharing with each other our varied live’s journeys, celebrating or consoling as the case may have called for.

Dear Nancy, George, Martha & Matt: I was sorry to hear this, and to miss the service. Mr. Lynch (I could never call him "Bill") was an example to me in many ways: as a neighbor, an athlete, a father, a family friend. On the tennis court, I remember his fierce competitiveness and the unique windup (and sharp, staccato delivery) of his serve! Off the court, his old-school directness and kindness. We would never have had our home without the Lynch family - nor would we have shared so many happy summer days bouncing between the two houses. After my next tennis match, I will raise a hot dog and a Twin Lights soda (or its closest facsimile) in his memory. Much love from the west coast ... Jason C.
