CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

To me, he was always "Buster," a friend from the old neighborhood in Roxbury, but in ways I'm sure he didn't realize he was a hero in my eyes. When you're 9 or 10 you can be a pain in the neck to someone coming into his 20s, but Buster never made me feel that way. He made me feel I mattered, and when you're a kid that's an awfully good feeling. I'm no kid now, but, Buster, you're still one of my boyhood heroes, even though I'm sure you never saw yourself that way. Heroes usually don't see themselves as heroes. But that's what you were to this kid, who'll always remember you that way. Say Hi for me to Gene, Eddie, Dukie, Gino and Tony, now that you're all together again. I'll catch up later. God bless.
