So sorry to learn of Paul’s passing. I knew him when he was a student at Snowden Int School. He was a student with my daughter and we shared many stories about hockey and had lots of laughs. You should be proud of the young man he was. He was polite, courteous and always smiling and laughing. We were so proud of him when he joined the military and served our country proudly. The Snowden family will never forget what a great man he had become. He will surely be missed.

Paul will be deeply missed by our Snowden community. He worked hard, cared about his classmates and the staff, and had a great habit of asking far more questions than he passed judgements. We are grateful to have known his kindness and dedication during his years of growing up, we honor his service and his memory, and our hearts ache for his family in the wake of this tragic accident. No matter how many times it happens, we will always be shaken to the core when we outlive our students. United with you in grief, Seth Peterson

We are glad that we got the opportunity to meet all of your boys at John & Mish's wedding in Vegas. Our hearts go out to the family. We hope that the poem below will give some comfort. “For All Parents” by Edgar A. Guest I’ll lend you for a little time, a child of mine, He said. For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three. But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, You’ll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn. I’ve looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again? I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, Thy will be done. For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run. We’ll shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him while we may; And for the happiness we’ve known, will ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we planned. We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

Our heartfelt condolences for the family of Paul Haugh. We can not begin to know your pain and sorrow. In the short time Paul touched our lives we knew his generosity and thoughtfulness. He spoke of his entire family with pride and a smile on his face. May his kind, hardworking soul rest in eternal peace.

The three years I coached Paul for the Snowden International High School hockey team he was a player who you could count on to play any position at anytime in any game situation. I would literally have to drag him off the ice because he would do whatever it took to win a hockey game even if it meant playing every minute of every game. My thoughts and prays are with you Paul. Rest In Peace. Coach Joe.

Dear Joe, Helen, and Haugh boys, My heart breaks for you! I remember Paul as a cute, sweet little guy with a beautiful smile, and seeing that smile at the Beethoven each day made the day better. He accomplished a great deal in his young life, and I hope those accomplishments bring you all some solace. Rest in Peace, Paul, and make everyone smile in Heaven. You left the world a better place! In a talk Paul gave at a H.S. Mission for 9th/10th graders preparing for Confirmation at St.Theresa's Parish-commenting on one person's ability to make a significant change in the world he said "it doesn't matter the size or the impact of the change you make, it's more important that you make an effort and contribution to go out on a limb and make the change in the first place." Paul volunteered an extra 2 years after Confirmation as a Peer Minister at St. T's, speaking at HS and 7 & 8th grade retreats, giving reflections on the Stations of the Cross to Grades 7-10 during Lent and even acting in skits at a day long retreat for 8th grade Catholic School students..all in an effort to guide youth of the parish. In his all too brief 28 years Paul certainly went out on a limb for his family, his community, his country and his God. We blessed to have known and loved this beautiful boy are so, so much better for the change he made in our world and in us. God Bless You Paul and Thank You!!
