Many years ago my Brother from MS was visiting me. We decided to park at Dan's Colony Motel to visit Hampton Beach for the day. A long interesting conversation took place about our home state of MS and how he spent winters in Natchez, MS. This started many years of a close friendship with my family and I. He was a friend to many people; a friendly smile for all, a kind, generous man to his community, church and friends. Personally..Dan was more than a friend; he was like family to me. I will always cherish his friendship, love and support. I sure will miss him. Hampton Beach will never the same. My thoughts and prayers are will his all his family.

Dear relatives of Mr Dan Furden, I am deeply saddened to read of the passing of Dan this past year. I remember fondly his kindness to us as Summer students working at and near his motel in Hampton Beach. He also insisted I attend mass regularly which I still remember to this day. It was around the time of 09/11 when we had to stay on for an extra week and Dan provided us with a room. He has many great friends in New Hampshire and I was fortunate enough to see him there one last time in 2008. I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to you his family who I remember meeting on occasions in Hampton Beach. Dan will be remembered by his many Irish friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. I just recently found out about Dan’s passing. He was a good friend who’s wisdom and advice I looked forward to on my annual trips to NH. He will be sorely missed
