So very sorry and sad hearing that Frank has passed away. I worked for Frank at Suffolk for 30 years and loved every second. He was so smart, kind and compassionate and made everyone around him feel so at ease and welcome. Suffolk back then was one big family away from home and he was the head of it all guiding us all every day with his wonderful smile. Rest in Peace Frank. I am so glad that you had some wonderful years on retirement with your family. Ron

Frank Flannery was one of the people that allowed me to get an education and make my way successfully through life. He mercifully turned his head the other way when I didn't have all my tuition money on time. Eventually, Suffolk got paid and my family survived and, in some cases, even prospered. He will feel right at home among the saints and angels. He has been one himself for a long time. Rest in peace, Frank.

My prayers are with his family. Wonderful man to work for. A kind and gentle soul that was loved and respected at Suffolk University. I looked up to him. He loved his family and so glad he was able to enjoy them. Rest in Peace with your loving wife.

Frank was a terrific business partner who had integrity, was devoted to the University and truly cared for his staff and colleagues. Frank was a steadfast friend, supporting people through good times and bad. He was always ready to listen and also shared his own experiences. Frank had a ready wit and enjoyed laughing at the vagaries of life. He adored his family and was very proud of their accomplishments, sharing their milestones from first steps to marriages and achieving partnerships. Frank Flannery was a great man, unique in his caring for others while successfully guiding and expanding a prestigious institution. They don't come much better than that.

Dear Family of Frank: I knew Frank since he began in Finance at Suffolk in 1961. I began in Development at Northeastern University in 1961, back when Judge Fenton (Suffolk President) & Asa Knowles (Northeastern President) were friendly, honorable, congenial "competitors" leading two "family" institutions. Frank was always an honorable kind individual who, to me, was the face of Suffolk & most instrumental in leading it forward. He was the icon of the University, a true treasure for Suffolk. I last saw Frank at a Clover Club Dinner. He was still kind, gentle & smiling. My Condolences, Gene Reppucci
