I remember Mary so well--she was a frequent telephone caller at Most Precious Blood Rectory back in the 1990s, when I was a secretary there. A particular friend of the late Bishop Lawrence Riley, she never hesitated to speak her mind on matters ecclesiastical or secular. Intelligent, sensitive, and feisty, she maintained her personal integrity and independence in spite of everything life handed her. A devout Catholic, there is no doubt she now rests in the arms of Jesus. Rest in peace, Mary!
