Clara and I remember Joe as the only doctor for our two children Becky and Dave, Jr. as they grew up in Point Pleasant, NJ, many years ago. He was a true gentleman, who worked very hard, and certainly made a difference. You have our thoughts and prayers.

My Uncle Joe. The friend he and my Aunt Patsy were to my mother Carole in a time of need and guidance regarding the health and security of her children (Jeanine,Ryan, Glenn & Donald) is priceless. The festive Thanksgiving dinners down at their Point Pleasant home annually I always looked forward to. As I wandered through the tower of legs, looking up at all of my fellow older cousins as well as aunts & uncles conversing only to see the cool salt & peppered bearded Doctor there with a smile and a handful of Planters peanuts to offer me on turkey day. My Sincere condolences to the Jurkoic Family. Dr. Jurkoic cared for my four children until the day he retired. He started with my son at age 2 who is now 28. My Daughter Meredith. Alexandra and son Donovan. I adored him as did my children, as he treated them more like grandchildren than patients. In fact, I took a picture of them outside his office and framed it as a gift to him. (I still have my picture) with the Dr. Jurkoic sign behind them on Arnold Ave. . I was so devestated after the fire incident but waited patiently for his return. I have thought about him often. As a young mother, at the time, not so young now, he always put me at ease and sometimes in my place. Lol. I always respected him, as he had many children in his best interest. God bless Dr Jurkoic and his beautiful family.

Dr Jurkoic saved my life in 1988 when i came down with bacterial meningitis. He was such a caring man. I can still hear the creaking of the floors in his office as he made his way into the exam room as i would wait nervously for a "shot". He would always make tou feel calm though as soon as he entered the room. He will be missed. RIP Dr Joe
