Everyone should have an Aunt Doris in their life. I have the greatest memories of her growingup. She will always have a place in my heart

Our Aunt Doris was a part of our lives for as long as I can remember. So many dinners together, Fourth of July vacations at the beach. And who can forget the gang (Harold, Doris, Dad, Mom, Kermit, Edna, Ronnie and Betty Lou), their fishing trips and cookouts! Always loud and hilarious! Mike and I still laugh about the days spent with them. Precious memories, indeed. I can still hear Doris calling me "Nisey". We just loved her!

Please accept my deepest condolences for your family's loss. Doris was a wonderful friend to cousins Donald and Jewell Padgett. Jewell spoke very warmly about Doris. They enjoyed visiting with her for many years.

Aunt Doris will always be a warm memory in my heart. She introduced my parents to each other! How about that! She married Uncle Harold, my father's (Quinton) brother. She met my Mom when they were young teenagers working for Jack Pants Factory. Both were good seamstresses but Aunt Doris continued to sew for the public up until she could no longer see to thread her machine. She was always upbeat and positive in demeanour. She made great pound cakes and loved to share them. I always looked forward to visiting her! I know she believed in God and professed her faith. I look forward to seeing her again in heaven!
